1. Cookies and similar technologies
The portal may use browser local storage (localStorage), cache, a service worker and technical Web Push identifiers. In this document, the term “cookies” also covers similar technologies when they are used to save settings or communicate with external services.
2. Necessary elements
Necessary elements support security, correct page display, saving privacy choices and functions explicitly selected by the user. This site does not provide login functionality or user accounts.
eurusdjournal.com.consent.v2 — locally stores the choice regarding portal statistics and the date of the decision.
eurusdjournal.com.risk-ack.eurusd.v2.[language] — remembers confirmation that the risk notice has been read.
eurusdjournal.com.push.channels — remembers the state of voluntarily selected notifications.
Cache and service worker — technical elements required for smooth operation of the website and functions explicitly selected by the user.
3. This site’s own statistics
Consenting to “Site statistics” may increase the aggregate visitor count. The site does not use this mechanism to create investment or advertising profiles. Without this consent, the new-visit count will not increase.
eurusdjournal.stats.visitRecordedAt — local time at which the most recent visit was recorded.
eurusdjournal.stats.vote — local information about the voluntary “Like” or “Dislike” vote.
4. Push notifications
Push notifications are not enabled automatically and do not depend on advertising consent. They require an individual user action and browser permission. Once enabled, technical endpoints and the EURUSD channel subscription key are stored. Permission can be withdrawn using the button on the site or the browser settings.
Google Analytics 4 — optional statistics
After the visitor allows the optional statistics category, EURUSD Journal loads Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-BXHXN8104E. The portal uses Basic Consent Mode: before consent the Google tag is not loaded and no Analytics data is sent to Google.
After consent, GA4 may use first-party cookies such as _ga (distinguishes users) and _ga_<container-id> (stores session state). Google states that their default expiry is 2 years, subject to browser limits and Analytics configuration. If consent is withdrawn in the portal privacy panel, further Analytics sending is disabled and locally accessible GA cookies are removed.
5. Google AdSense advertising
Google AdSense is currently disabled. The portal’s own “Privacy” panel is not an advertising-consent mechanism.
Before advertising begins, a Google-certified CMP will be deployed. Through that platform, users will be presented with the relevant choices regarding advertising, storage of information on devices and personalisation required in individual regions.
Using EURUSD Journal does not require consent to optional statistics or advertising technologies. Users may reject optional functions and continue to access the portal’s core content and functions. If advertisements are displayed, they will remain clearly labelled and separate from buttons, trade data and navigation elements.
6. Separation of responsibilities
Local statistics preferences can be changed using the “Privacy” button. Once AdSense is enabled, advertising preferences will be managed through a separate mechanism provided by a certified CMP.

8. Browser settings
Permissions relating to cookies, localStorage, cache and notifications can also be removed or blocked in the browser settings. After portal data is deleted, the choice panel will be shown again.
9. Unexpected connection to advertising services
If a user notices optional advertising technologies behaving contrary to the choice recorded in the CMP, please report the URL of the page and a description of the situation to privacy@eurusdjournal.com. The presence of a technical connection to an advertising service does not necessarily mean that advertising is personalised; the scope of processing depends on CMP configuration, the user’s choice and the relevant provider’s rules.
10. Changes to this policy
This document will be updated if advertising providers, measurement technologies or the way the portal operates change.
