1. Scope of this document and contact details

Using the core functions of EURUSD Journal is free and does not require registration, login or the provision of a name, telephone number or email address. The portal does not maintain user accounts or its own database of user profiles. Technical information may be processed only to the limited extent necessary for operation and security, and when a user voluntarily uses additional functions such as the contact form, portal statistics or notifications.

2. What this service does not do

• We do not maintain a database of user accounts or visitor profiles;
• We do not collect advertising data for our own purposes or create our own advertising profiles;
• We do not sell user data or provide our database to advertisers;
• We do not use visitor data to select advertisements ourselves;
• We do not make automated decisions about visitors that produce legal effects.

3. Technical information and user-selected functions

• Server and hosting logs — may contain an IP address, request time, pages visited, browser type and information about errors and security. This data is generated technically when connecting to the site and processed within the hosting infrastructure.
• Consent settings — choices concerning simple site statistics and the date of the decision are stored locally in the browser so the site can respect the user’s choice. Advertising consent is not stored in this local panel.
• Portal statistics — the visit count is increased only when statistics consent is given. The “Like” or “Dislike” vote is a separate voluntary action.
• Push notifications — technical endpoints and subscription keys are stored only if the user enables notifications for the EURUSD channel. The subscription can be disabled on the site or in the browser.
• Contact form and correspondence — if a user voluntarily uses the contact form, the data entered in the form is processed, in particular the email address, subject and message content, and optionally a name or nickname. To protect the form against spam and abuse, the portal may temporarily process an IP address or a technical identifier derived from it and submission timestamps. The data is used to handle correspondence and provide a response. The form content is not stored in a separate portal user database.

4. Purposes and legal bases of processing

Technical data related to security and correct operation of the portal is processed to the extent necessary for security, diagnostics and continuity of operation. Data voluntarily submitted through the form is used to handle correspondence. Optional functions, such as statistics and advertising technologies requiring consent, are enabled according to the user’s choice.

5. Google AdSense and advertising partners

Google AdSense is currently disabled. Before advertisements are served, the portal will implement a consent-management platform (CMP) that meets Google’s requirements for the relevant regions.

Once advertising is enabled, Google and selected advertising-technology providers may, in accordance with the user’s choices made in the CMP, use cookies, similar identifiers, IP addresses or other technical information for ad delivery, measurement, security and — where the user gives the relevant consent — ad personalisation.

Refusing optional advertising technologies does not restrict access to EURUSD Journal’s core content. Google and its partners are responsible for their own data processing within their services, while the portal is responsible for correctly implementing the choice mechanism and passing the user’s decision to the advertising systems.

6. Effects of refusing or withdrawing consent

Using EURUSD Journal does not require consent to optional statistics or advertising technologies. Users may reject optional functions and continue to access the portal’s core content and functions. Once AdSense is enabled, advertising choices can be changed or withdrawn through the mechanisms provided by a certified CMP. The local “Privacy” button will be used only to configure the portal’s basic statistics.

7. Technical service providers

To the extent necessary to operate the portal and transmit forms, technical data and communications are processed by hosting and email service providers, while other technical data may be processed by security-service providers and Web Push infrastructure providers. Once AdSense is enabled, connections to Google and advertising partners will be made in accordance with the choices made through a certified CMP.

Voluntary project support is handled through the external Ko-fi service and its payment operators, such as Stripe. Selecting this function takes the user to an external service. EURUSD Journal does not receive or store full payment-card data. External operators process data under their own privacy policies.

8. Retention periods

• Technical log data — in accordance with hosting settings and security requirements;
• Browser consent settings — until the choice is changed or site data is deleted;
• Web Push subscriptions — until the user unsubscribes, the subscription expires or an inactive registration is removed;
• Messages sent through the form — for the period necessary to process the message and handle the enquiry; the form itself does not contain a database for individually storing message content;
• Data processed by Google or partners — according to the policies and retention periods set by those operators.

9. Contact and user rights

For matters relating to local statistics settings, Web Push notifications, forms or communications, please use the contact form or email privacy@eurusdjournal.com. Once AdSense is enabled, advertising choices will be managed by a certified CMP. For processing carried out independently by Google or advertising partners, the relevant entity is the appropriate contact point. Where applicable, users may request access to their data, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, object to processing, exercise the right to data portability and withdraw previously given consent. Users also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority.

10. Behaviour inconsistent with recorded preferences

Optional portal-statistics functions must remain disabled unless consent has been given in the local panel. Once advertising begins, the preferences recorded through the certified CMP must be respected when ads are handled. Incorrect behaviour of optional functions should be reported through the contact form or to privacy@eurusdjournal.com, including the URL of the relevant page and a description of the situation.

11. Changes to this document

This document may be updated when portal functions, advertising settings, technology providers or legal requirements change. The current date appears at the beginning of the document.
